Treffpunkt war in Evangelismos bei der Kirche um 10 h . Die Wanderung ging von Evangelismos durch die Schlucht nach Ripena und östlich zurück. Länge ca. 11 km.

Vormittagswanderung: Herbert hatte eine bezaubernde Strecke ausgekundschaftet.
Der Treffpunkt war im Ortszentrum von Akritochori um 10:00 Uhr.
Wir wanderten ca. 2½ Stunden entlang grüner Almwiesen durch seit archaischen Zeiten kultiviertes Land mit eindrucksvollen Ausblicken auf Meer, Inseln und Berge.

We met in the center of Akritochori center
at 10 am.
The walk led for 2½ hour along green meadows, through landscape cultivated since archaic time with impressive outlooks towards Sea, Islands and Mountains.

Treffunkt war 500 m südlich von Kokino beim Strommasten. Die Wanderung ging über den Berg Manta Limeria 650 m ü. M. vorbei an dem verlassenen Dorf Miliotaki und über alt Sulinari nach Kokino zur Taverne von Alexandra und Vasilis. Die Wanderung war mit Steigungen aber mit sehr schönen Aussichten, Gesamtlänge ca. 17 km.

Meeting point was 500 m south of Kokino at the power poles. The walk led us over the mountain Manta Limeria 650 meters above sea level and past the abandoned village Miliotaki and old Sulinari over to Kokino to the tavern of Alexandra and Vasilis. The walk was uphill but with very nice views, total length about 17 km.

Treffpunkt: 10.00 h an der Foinikounda Church. Es ging auf Wald- und Wiesenwegen bis Lachanada hoch. Nach der Schu­le führte der Weg links um den Buckel herum. An der höch­sten Stelle (152m - Sauer­stoff­masken?) ging es wieder links und dann bergab nach Foini­kounda. Ca 10 km.

We met at Foinikounda Church at 10.00h. Following the track through farmland and olive groves, we went up to Lachanada. At the school the track led us off to the left and round the hill. At the highest point (a massive 152 metres), it was left again but now downhill to Foini­koun­da.

Wanderung durchs Grüne ans blaue Meer.
Der Treffpunkt war in Kamaria an der Kirche. Durchs Grüne gingen wir ans Meer, folgten einem dornigen Monopathi, entlang eines englischen Schlosses zur Kapelle Agios Hlias.
Zur Mittagspause stiegen wir nach Finiki hinauf. Nach der Rast an der Kirche oder bei einem Fix ging es quer hinüber zurück zum Ausgangspunkt. Länge ca. 12 km.

Walk through the greenery to the blue sea.
The meeting point waa at 10 00 clock in Kamaria at the church. Through the greenery we went to the seaside, followed by a thorny Monopathi, along an English castle to the chapel of Agios Hlias. For lunch we climbed up to Finiki. After a rest at the church or at a cool fix, we went right over back to the starting point. Distance about 12 km.

Die Wanderung ging kurz nach Gialova ca. 3 km bis zum Wasserfall und kleinen See, dann durch den Wald den Berg hoch, weiter bis Koukounara und über Shinolaka zum Parkplatz. Gesamtlänge 12 km. Wanderführer war Helmut.

The hike was after passing Gialova about 3 km to the waterfall and small lake, then through the woods up the hill, continued to Koukou­nara and Shinolaka to the parking lot. Total length 12 km. Helmut led the walk.

We started in Vigla und walked around Mathia and Achladochori and then in the moonlight back to Vigla. Karin lead the walk. Duration about 4 hours.

Vollmondwanderung zur Kapelle Profitis Ilias. Die Kapelle liegt oberhalb Kokino - unterhalb des Antennen­berges. Treffpunkt war in Kokino, 19.00 Uhr an der Hauptstraße, nördlicher Ortsrand. Der Weg ging ca. 1 Stunde bergauf. Zum Abschluß hatten wir Mezzes bei Alexandra.

Tuesday, July 23rd
We made a full moon hike to the chapel of Prophet Elias. The chapel is above Kokino - below the Mount of the antenna. Meeting point was in Kokino, 7.00 pm on the main road, north outskirts.
The road went uphill about 1 hour. At the end we had mezze at Alexanda.

Colin führte eine 12 km lange Wanderung, die um 9.00 Uhr bei der Taverne am Peroulia Strand begann. Die Wanderung ging durch die Dörfer Vounaria und Falanthi und durch das Gargarou Tal zurück zum Peroulia Strand.

Wir wanderten von Mesopotamos zu den Wasser­fällen und Seen und über Kalochori zurück nach Mesopotamos.

Länge: ungefähr 16 km.
Pat und Janet leiteten die Wanderung. Es ging zuerst am Fluss entlang und dann hoch zu Dendroulia/Jiapapí. Der Zurückweg ging durch ein Tal bis Finikounda und zum Meer.

Treffpunkt war 9 Uhr in Kokkino, am östlichen Dorfrand (hohe Mauer). Wir wan­der­ten bergauf zum Profit Ilias - Anten­nen­berg und liefen dann einmal um den Berg herum zurück über Gambrina nach Kokkino. Die Strecke ging über ca. 15 km, die erste Stunde ging bergauf. Die Aussicht war grandios. Karin leitete die Wanderung.

Meeting was at 9 am in Kokkino, on the eastern edge of the village (high wall).We walked uphill to Profit Ilias - Antenna mountain and walked once around the mountain back on Gambrina by Kokkino. The route went over about 15 km, the first hour, we went uphill. The magnificent view was the reward for the effort. Karin led the hike.

Länge: ungefähr 12 km.
Die Wanderung führte vorbei an Kapellen, durch Olivenhaine und Täler und zum Strand von Agia Triadhamit mit sei­nen unzähligen ver­stei­nerten Muscheln. Der Weg zurück zum Dorf ging durch eine langgezogene Schlucht.
Die Tour, von Annie geleitet, ging über breite feste Wege, teilweise am Strand entlang. We­ni­ge kurze, steile Abschnitte.

Length: about 12 km.
The walk led along chapels, through olivegroves and valleys and along the beach of Agia Triadha, with lots of fossilized mussels.
The way back led trough a long gap.
The tour, led by Annie, was along wide, fixed roads, partially along the beach. Little short, steep sections.

Route: Blaxópoulou (Eingang von Seite Papoulion) – Panaïtsa (Paratírio) – Matarangka – Agios Antonios – Fourtzi – Fourtzovrisi – Arxaiologikos Xoros Kaminion.

Walk to the Maklavás with the Mountain (walk) Association of Kalamata.
Start at 09.00 pm. on the square in Blaxópoulou, municipality of Pylos Nestoros.
Route: Blaxópoulou (entrance from side Papoulion) - Panagitsa (Paratírio) - Matarangka - Agios Antonios - Fourtzi - Fourtzovrisi - Arxaiologikos Xoros Kaminion.

Länge ungefähr 17 km.
Annie hat die Wanderung geleitet, die über gut begehbare Pfade und Wege führte. Zuerst nach Chomathadha und weiter an Wein­feldern ent­lang nach Kalithea. Danach ging es wieder zurück nach Evangelismos.

Annie led the walk, which was going on good dirt roads.
First to Chomathadha and then, along vineyards up to Kalithea. Afterwards, we went on wide roads back to Evangelismos.

Colin führte die Wanderung, die am Parkplatz in Harokopio begann. Die 15 km Tour gging durch Muselei, an den Memi/Zaga Stränden vorbei nach Koroni. Dann ging es zurück entlang der Küste zur Kirche Agios Dimitris, dann weiter am Agios Triada Strand und zurück nach Harokopio.

Colin will lead a walk starting at 10am in Harokopio carpark. The 15 kilometer route passed through Muselei, along Memi/Zaga beaches to Koroni. The return was on the coastal path to Agios Dimitris church, then along Agios Triada beach and back to Harokopio.

Treffpunkt 10 Uhr am Parkplatz in Harakopio. Länge ca. 16-17 km. Zuerst wanderten wir bergauf nach Chrisokilaria und weiter nach Vasilitsi. An der Kirche war Mittags­pause. Anschließend ging der Weg bergab Richtung Meer und via Musoli zurück zum Parkplatz.

Meeting point at 10 a.m. in Harakopio, carpark. Distance: 16-17 km. We walked uphill to Chrisokilaria, went to Vassilitsi where we had a drink close to the church. Then we continued the walk downhill and back via Musoli to the carpark.

Rundwanderung um Arapolaka über Täler und Hügel mit schöner Aussicht. Die Wanderung war neu und sehr schön. Ge­reg­net hat es nur die ersten 5 Minuten und für 13 km hatten wir Sonne und einen Blick über die Gegend zwischen Kalithea und Apolaka.

The walk was new and very nice. It has rained only the first 5 minutes, and for 13 km we had sun and a view of the area between Kallithea and Apolaka.
